There is no advanced preparation needed for your Open MRI Scan. You may:

•  Consume a Normal diet

•  Take any scheduled medications

•  Drive yourself to and from the appointment

A few questions will be asked prior to the scan concerning:

•  Metallic objects implanted in your body

•  Pacemakers

•  Previous surgeries

•  Pregnancy

Day of Scan

• Please arrive at Edgewood Open MRI fifteen (15) minutes prior to your appointment to complete the registration and initial assessment process.
• Expect to be at the facility for approximately one (1) hour.
• You will be asked to remove any metal items that can affect the magnetic field (i.e., hair pins, belts, jewelry, credit cards, car keys, cell phones, beepers, watches).
